Library Living Wall

This is a mural painted for our high school school library in June of 2023. For a long time the library teachers at our school wanted to put in a living wall, to liven up the space and make it brighter. However, the walls of the library are solid concrete with no plumbing in then an its in the middle of the school with no windows, so that proved to be a problem.

Which, is why they asked us to paint a living wall for them. It is 8’x12’ and is not yet hanging up because it needs to be trimmed (the white outline needs to go so that it looks 3D) but once it is, could be hanging there for 20 years, or more. This is probably the biggest piece I’ve been a part of so far, and is one of the best experiences I’ve had as part of the art program and as part of peace club
