Underwater Rock Concert
This was one of my first animations in blender, made for my animation class in March of 2023. I had only made a donut model, and a three second ball bounce animation before this, so at the time I considered it pretty complex, and even though its a little rough around the edges, it’s still one of my favorite projects I’ve made thus far. My assignment was to make an underwater scene, and we could do anything our hearts desired, as long as it was underwater. My concept was a rock concert underwater, which I felt was ironic as it is rocks performing rock music. I thought of the idea when I was told I had to have sound of some sort, which was a new concept to me as other than a media arts class learning photoshop, this was my first digital art course, so having sound and affects was a totally new concept to me. This was also the first assignment that I really go to experiment using the software (blender) an so I used Youtube tutorials and taught myself slightly more advanced modeling than to what I knew, I experimented with the sculpt tool a but more, and taught myself how particle systems and wave modifiers work.
Below is the animation (with sound) and some other shots of the set I made
